CUBAN BULRUSH TASK FORCE

LAKE SEMINOLE

We, the undersigned citizens and voters, call on the Georgia State Government to take immediate action to support the CUBAN BULRUSH TASK FORCE with emergency funding. The Cuban Bulrush Task Force was formed under the Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S.A.C.E. and the Stewards of Lake Seminole to take immediate action to treat Cuban bulrush (Oxycaryum cubense) before it flowers in the late spring/early summertime frame. The presence of Cuban bulrush has exploded since hurricane Michael and is choking off thousands of acres of Lake Seminole. Your support is urgently needed. This petition and the monies raised by our communities reflects the seriousness of this issue.
